About Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams:

Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams have long provided musical firepower for fellow artists including Levon Helm, Bob Dylan, Mavis Staples, Little Feat, Phil Lesh and Friends, and Rosanne Cash. Their 2015 album 'Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams' earned 9/10 stars from Uncut, who described the record as "passionate, eloquent, spilling over with regal harmonies...channeling Emmylou and Gram,” and the Wall Street Journal called it, "a powerhouse [of] country, blues, gospel and honky tonk."

"The first couple of Americana" (Mojo) just announced their new album 'Contraband Love' (9/15, Red House Records), the follow up to their self-titled 2015 album which the New Yorker called "fervent" and "insistent." On the new record, Campbell is unafraid of treading darker territory in his songwriting as he explores themes of addiction, betrayal, love and acceptance.

'Contraband Love' represents a leap forward for Larry and Teresa as they dive even more deeply into their shared pool of musical and life experience. 'Contraband’ features adventurous songwriting, powerful new interpretations of their blues and gospel influences, sterling musicianship and darker themes of addiction and betrayal. It also features drumming from Levon Helm in what would become one of his last recorded performances before his death in 2012.
