Music for the Future
Music for the Future
The Origin:
As many music education programs in public schools were losing funding, Nik Tarascio decided to do something about it. He teamed up with his band, The Wicked Straps and Little Kids Rock (a Charity which has impacted more than half a million children through music programs) to put on a concert to help reverse the trend. Music education doesn’t just make future musicians, it is often the place many children first find their voice and their self-confidence. By featuring performances by leaders who were profoundly shaped by their passion for music at a young age, they are demonstrating the power of music education. This is an incredible opportunity to not only meet but also experience a different side of the leaders who are shaping the world while together we help hundreds of kids get their chance to find their voice and to connect with their passion for music.

The Charity:
Little Kids Rock is a national nonprofit that is dedicated to building a world where kids can live rich, purposeful lives by ensuring that all public school children have the opportunity to unlock their inner music makers. We do this by partnering with school districts, training public school teachers in our innovative curriculum, and donating all of the instruments and resources necessary to run rockin’ music programs.
