Keep Guns of Campus
Keep Guns of Campus
Founded in 2008, the Campaign to Keep Guns Off Campus promotes the safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors to college, university and school campuses by opposing the presence of concealed firearms on such campuses. The Campaign provides educational resources, strategic support, and policy advocates who both support policies prohibiting weapons and fight legislative changes that would force campuses to permit such weapons. Since its inception, The Campaign has worked to successfully block such legislative changesin states like Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana and Texas.

Since early 2015, the Campaign has also offered legal support through its Legal Action Project (LAP). Through litigation, education, and outreach, the LAP is serving as a national first of its kind legal initiative focusing particularly on affirmative litigation to challenge existing and proposed state laws. The LAP will also engage in defensive litigation, providing assistance to public and private entities that may not have the comparative expertise to provide a robust defense of firearms regulations.
