Chris Berardo & the DesBerardos
Chris Berardo & the DesBerardos
Silvermine, CT's Chris Berardo & The DesBerardos have spent the last several years touring much of the country, playing hundreds of shows with the likes of The Doobie Brothers, Dickey Betts & Great Southern, The Marshall Tucker Band, Reckless Kelly, America, David Allan Coe, Levon Helm, Little Feat, NRBQ, Molly Hatchet, Badfinger, Kevin Welch, Blue Rodeo, Brave Combo, Enter The Hagiss, Band of Heathens and many others, as well as countless appearances as headliners everywhere from top-notch listening rooms to beer-soaked bar rooms.
Their May, 2013 CD single release featuring "Somebody Like Me" b/w "The Last Great Chance" was called, "Byrds-style jingle jangle guitars and Barenaked Ladies style melody combined into an absolute original pop ...rock, radio friendly song." by Michael Buffalo Smith of Kudzoo Magazine and Radio, who went on to say "If 'Somebody Like Me' is an example of what to expect from Berardo's new album, sign me up! This is the good stuff, fellow babies."

Their Lamon Records release, "Ignoring All The Warning Signs" rose to #49 on the Billboard Americana Chart, #15 on The Roots Music Report and was in rotation on over 100 stations in the U.S.

It also sat in the Top Ten at XM Radio's X Country channel for two straight months, peaking at # 4 for two weeks, and appearing as the # 34 CD for the entire year. No less an authority than Robert K. Oerman called it, "as good a country rock record as you will hear this year!" in Music Row Magazine and it appeared on the 50th Annual Grammy ballot in the category Best Contemporary Folk / Americana Album.

Their previous release "Pure Faith" (Lamon Records) burned up College, AAA and Americana radio, and also appeared on that year's Grammy Ballot for Best Rock Album.

A quick list of venues they have recently played includes the likes of B.B. King's in NYC, The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC, The State Theater in Falls Church, VA, The Bowery Ballroom in NYC, 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville, TN, The Klein Auditorium in Bridgeport, CT, The Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte, NC, City Winery in NYC, The Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh NC, The Luckenbach (TX) Dance Hall, The Winchester Music Hall in Cleveland, Ohio, The Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY, The Jefferson Theatre in Charlottesville, Va, The Sinclair in Boston, MA, The Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, CT, The Palace Theater in Greensburg, PA, The Tarrytown (NY) Music Hall, the legendary Gruene Hall in Gruene, TX, The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC (Best Club Venue in America, Rolling Stone Magazine), The Hill Country Live in NYC, DC and Brooklyn, The Fairfield Theater in Fairfield, CT, The Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh, NC, Sloppy Joe's in Key West, FL, The Webster Theater in Hartford, CT, The Higher Ground Music Hall in Burlington, VT, Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta, GA, The Saxon Pub in Austin, TX, The Turning Point in Piermont, NY, The Hawg Stop Amphitheater in Houston, TX, Cafe Nine in New Haven, CT, The Square Room in Knoxville, TN,Threadgill’s in Austin, TX, Poor David’s Pub in Dallas, TX, The Blind Tiger in Greensboro, NC, The Bitter End in NYC and many, many more ...
